Rashad Hosein is a second year MFA student at The UWI St Augustine. Rashad is the current winner of the Reed Magazine's John Steinbeck Award for Fiction. Previously, he was longlisted for the 2021 Galley Beggar Press Prize, was a finalist for the 2020 BCLF Elizabeth Nunez Award for Caribbean Writers and was also shortlisted for the 2019 Commonwealth Short Story Prize.
